“After applying SPEAR LEP we immediately saw the result of the product. After about four days you can see the effects already and in the following days the effect became greater. At this point we can say that it is quite effective for the problem.” - Italian grower Gianni Mangiapane Watch the interview: https://lnkd.in/gKX8akTX

About us
Vestaron Crop Protection is an ag technology company dedicated to providing our customers with the powerful solutions they need to meet the growing challenges of modern agriculture. Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Durham, NC (USA), we are producing a pipeline of powerful insecticides with new modes of action based on peptides modified from the venom of spiders and other venomous animals. Naturally soft on pollinators, beneficials, and local biodiversity, our innovations have earned recognition from the Crop Science Awards and the EPA’s Green Chemistry Challenge. In 2024, we became the first agriculture and food company inducted into the Global CleanTech 100 Hall of Fame. Our first product, SPEAR® LEP, is proven on more than 650,000+ acres and continues to gain market share in North America. Recently, SPEAR LEP has been approved for Emergency Use Authorization in several EU countries as a desperately needed solution to help farmers combat the destructive impact of tomato leafminer (Tuta absoluta) infestations which cause substantial yield and economic losses for farmers across the Mediterranean region of Europe. In 2024 the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved our second novel-acting insecticide, BASIN®. Vestaron Crop Protection: Unconventional, by nature.

The Vestaron team had amazing time last week at the American Pistachio Growers Annual Conference connecting with pistachio growers to discuss their crop protection needs and the powerful role SPEAR® LEP can play. Our Senior Sales Director, Bill Hume, spoke to important Ag Tech advances for local growers while on the Pistachio Power Hour panel and Emmanuel Cortes, with Kevin Brooks Horticultural Services, won our draw and took home a custom skinning knife featuring Central Valley-sourced pistachio wood handles! Overall, a fantastic time and great way to kick off another California tree nut growing season.

Our Sr. Director of sales Bill Hume was honored to participate in the Pistachio Power Hour to discuss Ag Innovation and Tech Trends at the American Pistachio Growers conference yesterday. Alongside fellow panelist Jonah Parker, Nate Haverkamp, and Dan Rooney, PhD, they discussed technological advancements that pistachio growers can use to improve operational productivity and profitability. Bill shared why SPEAR® LEP insecticide is an important SPM tool, combining MRL & PHI grower efficiencies with proven performance and sustainability attributes. Thank you to moderator Paul Loeffler for facilitating this conversation and APG for having us!
