Advanced Premium Tax Credits (APTCs) help millions afford health coverage by reducing monthly premiums. But how do they impact employers offering ICHRAs? 🔹 APTCs Lower Premiums – Applied in advance, these tax credits make healthcare more affordable for those who qualify based on income, age, and household size. 🔹 Annual Reconciliation – If someone receives too much in credits, they may owe some back at tax time. If they received too little, they could get a refund. 🔹 APTCs & ICHRAs – If an employer provides an affordable ICHRA (meaning the employee’s share of health costs is below 8.39% of their income in 2024), the employee is not eligible for APTCs. If they mistakenly claim them, they’ll likely have to repay the credits in full. Understanding this balance is key for businesses and brokers. At Venteur, we simplify the complexities of ICHRAs to help employers make informed decisions. 📩 Let’s chat if you want to learn more! #HealthInsurance #ICHRAs #APTCs #EmployeeBenefits #HR #BusinessLeadership

$25,000 per year. That’s the average cost of employer-sponsored health insurance for a family — rising at a rate of 7% or more annually. Employers are spending more than ever, yet many employees are still dissatisfied with their coverage. The system isn’t working, and it’s time for a change. At Venteur, we’re on a mission to redefine how businesses of all sizes offer health benefits—making them more flexible, cost-effective, and tailored to the unique needs of employees through ICHRA. The traditional model isn’t serving anyone, and we’re committed to offering a solution that works for everyone. It’s time for a smarter approach to health benefits. #Innovation #HealthInsurance #ICHRASolutions #ICHRAAdministration
