Regen ag for the business of farming.

About us

The only successful regenerative agriculture program is the one that keeps farms thriving and profitable. That’s our singular vision and purpose at Vayda. We are farmers and agronomists helping farmers increase productivity and profitability with our proven, data-driven approach to regen ag. And it all starts on the farm, working side-by-side with farmers. We aren't another carbon farming program. We don't sell fertilizers, biologicals or other inputs. We help farmers decrease inputs and restore soil health while keeping productivity high. Healthy soil and a healthy bottom line aren't mutually exclusive. We’ve proven they go hand in hand.

That’s a wrap on the second annual ReACH AgriFood Innovation Summit! 🚀 Today was filled with passion for AgriFood innovation. We kicked off the day by exploring who ReACH is and gaining insights from the voice of the farmer. Then, we dove into our first Dolphin Tank, where groundbreaking innovators—CoteX Technologies Inc, Cquesta, NanoSur AG Biotech, and PhycoTerra (Heliae Development, LLC)—pitched their visions. We also heard exciting updates from our 2024 ReACH Alumni, DeepAgro and Groundwork BioAg. After lunch, we jumped into Dolphin Tank round two, packed with even more incredible innovators! We heard from Prolific Earth Sciences (Microbiometer), Qumir nano, Sentinel Fertigation, and Vayda, followed by alumni updates from HabiTerre and Ostara. We closed out the summit with business meetings between the ReACH Coalition and our global innovators, fostering the connections that will drive the future of AgriFood innovation and elevate the St. Louis region into a globally recognized Regen AgriFood Hub. Keep an eye out for more summit highlights! #ReACH2025 #RegenerativeAgriculture #AgriFoodInnovation #FutureOfFarming #AgriTech #ReACHAgriFoodInnovationSummit2025 #BioSTL

🌱 Why Do We Collect Biomass Samples? 🌱 Biomass sampling helps measure how much nutrient cover crops are taking up and how much plant material they’re producing. This data is key to understanding nutrient cycling, optimizing fertilizer use, and improving soil health over time. John David Bassie from Vayda and Braxton Batte of Pete Vegas’s Foules Farm were out in the field collecting cover crop biomass samples. Check out Foules Farm and their commitment to regenerative practices https://lnkd.in/dEs4xEyU Visit vayda.com to learn more about how we work with farmers to transition to regenerative practices #RegenerativeAgriculture #CoverCrops #SoilHealth #BiomassSample

🌟 January is a month filled with significant moments that mark key milestones in both my professional and personal journey. One of these milestones is celebrating my one-year anniversary at Vayda. Happy Vayda-anniversary to me!I couldn’t be happier to celebrate this achievement, a goal I’ve aspired to since starting my master’s degree in the USA. I am truly grateful for the opportunities Vayda has provided me to work on the farm, contribute to regenerative agriculture, and share knowledge with many farmers. A special thank you to my managers, Andrew McGowan and Danny Blalock for their support in helping me deliver the best results, improve every day, share insights, and contribute to my growth as an agronomist. Excited for more milestones ahead! 🏃♀️

In the Mississippi Delta, managing water is no easy task. With heavy clay soils, compaction, and unpredictable rainfall, it’s no wonder many growers face challenges with infiltration and water availability. But here’s the thing: improving water infiltration doesn’t just save water—it boosts profitability too. 🌱 Here’s how: ✔️ Healthier Soil = More Water Storage: A 1% increase in organic matter can hold an extra 3% of water. That means fewer irrigation cycles and lower costs. ✔️ Cover Crops Work Wonders: They prevent soil crusting, improve structure, and shield soil from evaporation. More moisture for your crops = healthier yields. ✔️ Cut Back on Tillage: Intensive tillage harms soil biology and structure, making it harder to absorb water and keep it where it belongs—beneath your crops. On our own 5,000+ acres in the Delta, these regenerative practices have helped us irrigate less and keep our crops healthier longer. Read the full article https://lnkd.in/d-dgr-mM If you’re ready to rethink your approach and make your soil work smarter, not harder, let’s chat. #RegenerativeAg #SoilHealth #FarmProfitability #Water #WaterManagement #Mississippi #Arkansas #Rice #SoilCompaction #CoverCrops

Farming cotton isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s one of the most challenging crops to grow because so many factors need to align perfectly: 🌦️ Weather Watch: Cotton is highly sensitive to weather, rainfall, and temperature. Too much or too little can make or break a season. 🌱 Flowering While Growing: Cotton doesn’t make it easy—it flowers and grows at the same time, demanding constant attention and care. 🐛 Pests and Weeds: Managing pests and weeds is an ongoing battle, and it takes a lot of follow-up to stay ahead of issues that could impact yield. 💲 Unit Economics: And then there’s the bottom line. The economics of cotton farming are tough—every decision matters. Through all these challenges, it’s rewarding to look back on harvest time and celebrate the hard work that goes into every single bale 👏 #TBT #CottonHarvest #FarmingLife #RegenerativeAgriculture #Cotton #Harvest #RegenAg

Finding a Better Way to Manage Rice Residue Burning rice residue is common, but it comes with serious downsides: air pollution, nutrient loss from the soil, and smoke that can impact visibility on nearby roads. This year, we’ve tested two innovative products with microorganisms to speed up decomposition without burning. These treatments break down residue faster and introduce beneficial bacteria to enrich the soil, building long-term soil health. At Vayda, we’re focused on practical solutions that protect soil health and enhance productivity for our fields and partner farms. Visit vayda.com to learn more on our progress. #Rice #ResidueManagement #Harvest #RegenerativeAg #Farming #Agriculture
