About us

Utility converts and concentrates valuable streams of hydrogen and syngas from off gases. Our scientists have developed a cleaner and more efficient alternative to other energy and carbon intensive methods. We solve many decarbonization challenges for hard to abate industries while complementing existing operations. We offer several products developed for a range of applications in heavy mobility, biogas, steel, refining and petrochem. Our highly-flexible products effectively and efficiently convert a variety of gas inputs into valuable, high-purity gas streams for reuse as energy, feedstock or fuel. Our products are built on our proprietary, patented technology platform, eXERO(TM), which simply takes electricity out of the equation. Unlike other technologies that rely on renewable energy to be green, eXERO(TM) utilizes companies’ onsite gases to create high-purity streams. The eXERO(TM) technology platform excels at scalable, clean hydrogen and syngas production as well as ammonia cracking solutions made for energy transition and not force-fit to it.

Exciting news! Utility CEO, Parker Meeks was recently featured in a USA Today article, 2025: The Year Technology Redefines the Future. As Parker explains, carbon intensity is rapidly replacing the outdated color-coded hydrogen classification system. This shift allows for more precise environmental assessments and better supports global objectives for low-carbon hydrogen production. A major game-changer? Biogas-to-hydrogen for mobility is now an economically viable pathway—turning organic waste into low-carbon, distributed hydrogen for mobility corridors. This enables economic clean hydrogen production where it's needed most, cutting both methane emissions and hydrogen costs at the pump. Meanwhile, clean hydrogen deployment is moving beyond centralized hubs—with onsite and distributed production emerging as the more practical and scalable approach for heavy industries like steel, chemicals, refining, power, biogas and mobility to decarbonize without massive infrastructure investments. Parker's vision reflects a broader industry transformation to economic, clean hydrogen solutions which work with existing infrastructure and make business sense. Read the full article in USA Today to see how 2025 is reshaping industries and economies through low carbon tech innovation. https://lnkd.in/gGyUUVCm #Hydrogen #Biogas #CleanEnergy #Decarbonization #Sustainability #Innovation #CarbonIntensity #Utility
