Viewmont Elementary students immersed themselves in Shoshone traditions by crafting replica tribal necklaces and learning about their historical significance. Cultural specialist Rios Pacheco shared how these necklaces, made from bone, juniper beads, and animal sinew, once served as protection in battle. Through this hands-on lesson, funded by a Beverley Taylor Sorenson grant, students gained a deeper appreciation for indigenous culture, history, and storytelling. Article: https://lnkd.in/gPRK6zCd
