Another successful Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10-Mile Race is in the books! Kudos to the Red Wave (United States Senate Federal Credit Union team)! Your participation in this morning's race was fantastic, and I absolutely adore our credit union team (every single one of you)! Your day began early, with many rising between 3 AM and 4 AM to be ready to lead our Senate staffers and participants. As thousands of runners filled the streets, you were right there to kick things off, working and cheering until the last runner crossed the finish line hours later. I’m so proud of all of you—you truly rock! This year, we raised $460,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, bringing our total since becoming title sponsors in 2002 to over $11 million. A big thank you to all the Capitol Hill teams that participated, including 50 from the Senate and additional teams from the House and legislative agencies. I also want to extend a special thank you to all the Senators who served as honorary chairs. I’m already looking forward to next year! Officially kicked off Credit Union Cherry Blossom weekend yesterday with Packet Pickup for Senate and Congressional staff, along side Credit Union Miracle Day, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, America's Credit Unions, TruStage and fellow credit union, Congressional Federal Credit Union. This year $460,000 was raised in support of Children's Miracle Networks Hospitals and the children and families they aid. It was an honor to spend the day, celebrating the generosity of all of those who made this donation possible and seeing the faces of the participants of the 5k and 10Mile Run happening this weekend!
