Last week, URBN WMN* Employee Resource Group hosted “She Means Business” in celebration of Women’s History Month, an empowering and inspiring afternoon conversation with local business leaders. The panel included three incredible female business owners from the Philadelphia area: Shanika Boston, Dr. Kimberly McGlonn, and Raquel Villanueva Dang. Exciting News! 🎉 Nuuly has been named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2025! 🌟 "For more than a decade, the fashion industry has been trying to solve the puzzle of how to make a business out of renting clothes. Rentals give consumers variety, extend the life of garments, and reduce fashion’s terrible impact on the planet—but profits from them have been scarce. Six-year-old Nuuly has gotten the pieces in place with its $98 monthly subscription that gives users access to more than 400 brands. In 2024, Nuuly—owned by Urbn, parent company of Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters—grew subscribers to 300,000, up 51% year over year, and generated its first full year of operating profit." In celebration of Black History Month, we partnered with our URBN Black ERG to host an inspiring panel at our Home Office, honoring the incredible talents of Black creatives, community leaders, and entrepreneurs. The event featured an engaging panel discussion with representatives from Anthropologie's philanthropic partners, including Amber Cabral of Brown Girls Do Ballet, Chad Eric Smith of Mural Arts Philadelphia, and Nia Drummond, an alumnus of YoungArts. Their stories and insights captivated the audience, celebrating the power of creativity and leadership. Guests also enjoyed a pop-up market showcasing local Black-owned businesses like Loomen Labs and jeantrix, fostering community connections and supporting talented entrepreneurs. We are grateful to URBN Black for their partnership and to everyone who joined us for this uplifting celebration.

We loved having Jamila and Harold from our long-term partner ACHIEVEability on campus! Thank you to Anthropologie's Barbra Sainsurin for guiding an enlightening and powerful conversation about supporting our neighbors in West Philadelphia.
Last week, our team had the privilege of attending an inspiring Riverside Chat sponsored by the URBNBlack Employee Resource Group (ERG) featuring Anthropologie’s very own Barbra Sainsurin, Jamila Harris-Morrison (she/her) and Harold Barrow from ACHIEVEability. We gained valuable insights into ACHIEVEability's work in breaking the cycle of poverty in Philadelphia and listened firsthand to an Achievability impact story from Harold. For over a decade, URBN (Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie Group, Free People & Nuuly) has been proud to support their mission to uplift our neighbors. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect and explore meaningful ways to give back.
