On April 4, Future Ready partner CAST Schools hosted its annual Youth Rally at The DoSeum ! This year’s theme, “Diving Deep into You-th,” was entirely student-led — created and brought to life by students from all six CAST high schools. The event empowered young people to explore their passions and imagine bold futures. As the lead Anchor Partner championing youth voice, this rally gave students a powerful platform to grow as leaders, build confidence, and prepare for college, career, and life. #FutureReadySA #YouthVoice #Youth #FutureReadyHighlight

About us
Our work is driven by the belief that every young person deserves equal access to a promising future, regardless of their race/ethnicity, where they live, or their household income. To make that vision a reality, our priorities are developed and advanced by our Board of Directors and three partner networks: Diplomás, Excel Beyond the Bell San Antonio, and My Brother’s Keeper San Antonio. Working with school districts, higher education, non-profits, business, and philanthropy, each of these networks are committed to ending persistent inequities in young people’s outcomes.

Over spring break, San Antonio Education Partnership hosted the “Ready! Set! College!” camp, giving local eighth grade students a valuable head start on their college journeys. The three-day experience introduced students and their families to college and career planning resources—equipping them with tools to begin shaping their futures with confidence. Learn more about the camp and an upcoming opportunity on April 26 at: https://bit.ly/saep-camps! #FutureReadySA

This #FutureReadyFriday, we are UPlifting all of the amazing healing focus work done this week. Whether it be the Bexar County School & Community SIM convening as part of Continuum of Care project led by Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute that brought together community leaders to work together to start designing and providing recommendations to stop youth from entering the juvenile justice system; to our Restorative Practices Academy hosted at Cafécollege; to San Antonio ISD opening it's first new peace room at Brackenridge HS, there are lots of great #FutureReadySA work being done to ensure that our young people have the healing supports they need to succeed! Special shout out to our board member and Southwest ISD Superintendent Dr. Jeanette Ball for speaking at the first mentioned event hosted at Rise Recovery, and more on SAISD's new peace room can be read here: https://bit.ly/42dfypm

"Last year, Travis ECHS launched the program for high school students who want to enter the teaching or human services industry. The pathway allows the students to earn an associate degree and secure three years of practicum experience, shortening the time it would take to complete a bachelor’s degree by two years and smoothening the transition from students to full-time certified teachers. Noah Urbina, a junior at Travis ECHS, is a part of the teaching program’s first cohort. He has practiced teaching in classrooms ranging from preK to middle school band halls."
