Saul Martinez, Retail Manager at Universal Studios Hollywood’s CityWalk, oversees different merchandise venues to ensure a well-operated retail experience. "I love what I do every single day at Universal Studios Hollywood. It's a passion of mine to create a memorable experience for our guests, and the sky's the limit as we continue to leverage our experience within the destination,” he says. In his two years with the company, Saul has worked on many of the destination’s exciting merchandise programs and enjoys the ability to collaborate with team members and bring new, fun ideas to the retail guest experience.  

Have you ever wondered how The Revenge of the Mummy attractions reach their high speeds at Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Studios Singapore?    Each ride features an electric motor with technology called linear induction, to launch riders into the darkness at speeds of up to 45 mph. While the storyline of each location’s ride is unique, each one is full of surprising special effects, robotics and visuals that send huge fireballs, swarms of scarab beetles and an army of warrior mummies at riders for a truly thrilling experience. 

Delivering exceptional Guest Service is a key part of our company culture, and it starts with our leaders. Our Interactions initiative assists managers in reenforcing its importance and recognizing the teams and Team Members that enhance the Guest experience. This year’s Interactions Gala brought together management teams across the park and CityWalk to celebrate their achievements, share insights, and inspire one another. By fostering collaboration, we continue to elevate our service standards and create memorable moments for every Guest. Congratulations to all who were honored and celebrated for their excellence in Guest Service.
