🌍English Language Day is coming next week!🌍 All next week Twinkl ESL will be celebrating English as a global language of connection, communication, and culture. No Union Jacks or Big Bens in sight! Instead we will want to celebrate the power the English languge has to bring people together across borders and backgrounds. To mark the day, we’ve created dedicated resources for teachers and learners, and we’re also running a poster competition for students and teachers! (We’ll be sharing more about the competition soon!) #EnglishLanguageDay #ELT #GlobalClassroom #LanguageLearning #TwinklESL

Myself and the rest of Twinkl ESL team were really inspired by the #RecenteringAfricainELT campaign created by the fantastic Sarah Gaylard (she/her) and all of the fantastic posts shared by ELT teachers and writers. It took us a few weeks to pull together, but check out these amazing posts on everything from Mauritius to Burna Boy. https://lnkd.in/gujfkT9c Shout out to Sarah-Jayne Coutts Carrie Anne Stephens Cayleigh Conradie for their incredible contributions.

Still reflecting on the powerful conversations and connections sparked during Twinkl ESL Global Perspectives on Inclusion in ELT. I'm truly grateful to have been part of this experience. A huge thank you to Samantha Reeve for organizing such a thoughtful, well-crafted event that brought together passionate educators from around the world. It was an honor to present alongside the inspiring Marina Falasca and Venice Irving—your work continues to challenge and inspire. In my session, The Power of We: Voices, Choices, and Diversity, we explored what inclusive classrooms look, sound, think and feel like—and how we can foster true belonging through intentional practices. 💭 A few questions I invited educators to reflect on: 🔹 How do we move beyond representation to truly center student voice and agency in daily practice? 🔹 In what ways are we preparing students not just to fit in, but to belong and lead in diverse communities? 🔹Are we designing learning that reflects the identities, languages, and lived experiences of all our students? Inclusion is not a one-time effort—it’s a mindset, a commitment, and a continuous journey. Let’s keep learning from one another. 💬 I’d love to hear from you: What does meaningful inclusion look like in your context? How are you building "The Power of We"? #InclusiveEducation #GlobalLearning #StudentVoice #Belonging #DiversityInEducation #ThePowerOfWe #StudentAgency #VoicesChoicesDiversity
