More photos from TWELVE10 day, AKA December 10th, mine and Daniella's birthday. As the years roll by you can tell we're growing on each other. But no matter how much I love her, I'll never put #girldad in my bio because it's beggy and cringe. As my wife reminded me in her characteristically and brutal latina way, these photos are adorable *now*, but one day, I will die, and her first birthday after my passing (and every one after) is going to be depressing for her and she's going to have probably 40+ years of sad birthdays, and then she got mad at me. Cheers.

Happy TWELVE10 day! 12/10 is my daughter Daniella's birthday and mine, hence my company name. Outstanding gift from the wife, framing one of my old pro football shirts hidden in the closet, reminding me of a time when I had some athletic ability in a year where I've broken my neck and had a stroke and almost died, but I think I've milked that enough. Luckily for my clients, as good as I was as a goalkeeper once upon a time, you're in much safer hands now (sorry, not sorry) with retaining me to build out your GTM engineering or Product team. For 2025 though, I'm swamped for the rest of 2024. I have 3 retained searches left for the year with Dec 30th start dates (or at the latest 1st week of Jan) so they'll all move quickly. 2 out of the 3 can be found advertised on TWELVE10's page. The other is a confidential exec search for another client I'm being a sniper on, so don't come to me, I'll find you. I’ve been retained to lead the hiring efforts for the go-to-market team of one of Austin’s best-known private equity portcos as part of its launch in January. It's a life sciences, ML company geared towards improving patient care. So far, I’ve successfully placed their entire ML team, the engineering team, and the design function. Next up is the customer success function, I'm hiring for a CS Engineer and a CS Analyst. If you're looking for meaningful, mission driven (and fully remote within the US) work, have an extensive Healthcare background and have worked for early stage start ups, reach out to me. This is a special company, I've placed basically everyone in it, they're all awesome humans. Also, (and not relevant at all to the search) but I just want to flex on the "it's been a tough year" excuse making recruiters, it hasn't, it's been an incredible year. If I place these 3 before the year is up, it'll push me over the million dollar mark for 2024 in a year where I've only worked 8 months, the other 4 I've been in intense rehab for my broken spine for March/ April and had 2 months in speech therapy to learn to talk again post stroke (June/July), I'm selfishly and highly incentized to work my arse off to get this over the line for my client and you (and me). We have a start date locked in and interview slots for next week, so pressure's on from my client. Luckily for them, as a former league 2 goalkeeper, I thrive under pressure, games just don't get much bigger than Rochdale vs Wrexham, where I would sit on the bench anyway. Right, go ahead and apply. I'm taking the afternoon off to play with my kids in my pool in my Ocean view Cayman Islands second house in 90 degree heat. It isn't quite as glamorous as being a League 2 footballer in the North West of England, where I can only assume it's currently wet and freezing, but still, it's a nice gift from the wife to remind me of "what could have been" if I still played football. I don't really know how to end posts so I'll just stop typing.

Another day, another retained search for Heavy D. ML Engineer for a Medtech startup arm of a public company. I'm retained for the entire project. Fully remote/ using your expertise to make the world a slightly better place/ cutting edge tech/ well paid/ amazing team/ world class public company benefits for their nimble innovative startup arm focused on ML in the medtech space/ yada yada yada. Read, share and apply. Fully remote means fully remote in the context of being based in the US, without the need for sponsorship. Don't be like the fella who emailed me from Scotland for my other computer vision engineer role, and argued the toss on the nuances of fully remote should mean globally and there's no reason why he shouldn't be considered. So in the interests of being crystal clear, FULLY REMOTE FOR US CITIZENS OR GREENCARD HOLDERS BASED IN THE US. OK? Sweet. I thought leaving the UK a decade ago would mean not having to interact with Brits anymore but here we are. What am I talking about? OK, I'm just going to post now. Oh, also don't be like the Indian fella last week either who said he had his GC before I committed to a meeting with him, lied on his application, to waste 30 minutes of my day to then at the end tell me "I know I said I have my GC, I don't, but I wanted to interview with you anyway so you can see I can do the job and maybe you'll consider sponsoring me now? Also, I'm not actually based in the US anymore, I had to leave, so would they consider up front relocation allowance too?" Even typing that I can't explain the inner rage I felt. I'm still furious. You know what? I'm going to post this now and go for a walk on the beach for 10 minutes to cool off.

I've been retained by a Private Equity firm to build a GTM team for this game changing AI medtech company. They've bought a controlling stake in a public company who are market leaders in this niche, so they can utilize their world class company benefits package for employees, their infrastructure and network to give this startup a real fighting shot, this is an industry ripe for ML disruption (made myself vomit a little bit writing something so generically salesy there, sorry), and the CEO is a world class operator in this space. If you're a computer vision engineer and want to do something incredibly rewarding with your skillset, I (well, GPT) have explained what's in it for you here:
