This is it! ✌️ AI transformation | Ex-Google

I’ve partnered with the Trusted Care Foundation and Johnny Lee to tackle one of healthcare’s challenges: helping individuals launch into their healthcare careers by getting  hands-on medical assistant training.  Here’s the reality: traditional training programs require in-person labs and externships, making it difficult for aspiring healthcare providers who may be juggling a full-time job and supporting a family, to embark on this new career journey. We saw an opportunity to change that. Via augmented reality glasses, we’re piloting a remote coaching program that connects students with RNs in real-time. Our initial results are promising: students trained through this program have successfully passed their fundamental skill evaluation, demonstrating that effective hands-on training can be delivered remotely. But we’re not stopping there. We’re building a dataset to develop a wearable AI coach, which could expand access to entry-level medical training on an unprecedented scale. Imagine a future where anyone, anywhere, can gain the skills they need to provide quality care. **To all my connections in healthcare and beyond:** we’re looking for feedback, insights, and potential collaborators. Whether you’re a hiring manager looking to upskill future employees affordably or an industry professional with ideas to share, I’d love to connect. Let’s work together to create a more accessible, equitable future for healthcare training. Let me know your thoughts—or reach out if you’d like to explore partnership opportunities! Peace!

We started the non-profit Trusted Care Foundation to inspire the next generation of pediatric clinicians. We’ve already connected more than 120 college students with pediatric experiences, providing them with training, mentorship, and internship opportunities.   More than 4,000 students have signed up to have the same opportunities — they want to learn more about pediatric medicine, and perhaps become the next generation of pediatricians and pediatric specialists. But we need your help: It costs $500 to sponsor an additional student, and we’ve set our goal now to sponsor the next 200 of them!   We’ve made it easy to pave the way to increase the workforce in pediatric care by inspiring the next generation of healthcare providers. You can make a donation to the Trusted Care Foundation from you, your family, or on behalf of someone else. The best gifts are the ones that have the power to change the future for all of us, including children. Make a difference today: https://lnkd.in/gjQ8eV2T All donations are tax deductible and make a big difference to the 4000+ students who’ve signed up for Trusted Care programs but are still waiting for funding for opportunities. With best regards, Sandy Chung, M.D. Past President of the American Academy of Pediatrics Trusted Care Foundation

  • Are you a college student interested in child health and leadership?? Want to know more about advocacy and laws that directly impact our healthcare system?? January 23 is White Coat Day! This is an opportunity to advocate for children alongside pediatricians, residents, medical students, etc., and talk to your state legislators! We are looking for 6 college students (preferably in the Richmond area) to help us take part in this important day! If you or someone who know is interested, use the form below! • Sandy Chung, pediatrician and founder of the Trusted Care Foundation here.   For the first time in recent history, 8% of the pediatric residency positions offered during the main residency match went unfilled this year — one can surmise many reasons for this. As the immediate past president of the American Academy of Pediatrics, I took that statistic personally.   I started the non-profit Trusted Care Foundation this April to do something about it. We’re working to inspire and connect college students directly with pediatric opportunities to help children, families, and the communities in which they live. And we’re going to secure the next generation of pediatric clinicians — now.   Trusted Care has already connected more than 120 college students with pediatric experiences, and our sponsorship provided these students with training, mentorship, and internship opportunities. Our clinical partners are excited and ready to step forward to show college students why pediatric medicine is so critical, and why it’s so rewarding. But that’s nothing compared to how excited the students are.   We’ve already had 4,000 students sign up for internships! We want all of them to have that opportunity, but the reality is that we haven't been able to fund more than 120 internships so far. That’s why, I'm reaching out to ask you to consider funding just one opportunity for one student. Your support is tax-dedictable, but more importantly: These experiences matter.   I decided to become a pediatrician — I’m a pediatrician today — because a nurse happened to take me under her wing, and she showed me what sort of difference I could make. Trusted Care is showing so many more students the same thing — students from all backgrounds, upbringing, and walks of life — and inspiring them to become the pediatric clinicians future generations will need.   If you’re ready to help us support students on the road to pediatric healthcare, you can donate now. I am so proud to be part of a community that, every day, commits itself to the health and well-being of our youngest patients.   Thank you for being part of that community. I hope that we can work together to share our experience with the generations that follow us.
