In 1981, Rick Godber became the third president and CEO of Trojan Battery. In 1983, Godber significantly expanded Trojan Battery's manufacturing capacity, opening a second West Coast facility on Clark Street in Santa Fe Springs. During Rick’s tenure, Trojan Battery inaugurated two additional facilities in Georgia. On the last day of Women's History Month, we're celebrating women in STEM. While significant progress has been made in contributing to STEM fields, women are still very underrepresented - only 29% made up the workforce in 2024. We interviewed Trojan Battery Mechanical Design Engineer Hollyann Tobon about her inspiration and challenges as a woman in STEM, as well as her contributions to Trojan and collaboration with various departments. "Learn to feel comfortable being the only woman in the room. STEM courses in college will be child’s play in terms of the ratio of men to women.
