About us

Tory Burch is an American luxury lifestyle brand founded in New York in 2004. What began with a boutique in Manhattan and an e-commerce site has since grown into a global business with more than 370 stores across North America, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, Asia and Australia. In addition, the brand is available at more than 3,000 department and specialty stores worldwide. Tory’s design philosophy is defined by effortless silhouettes, innovative materials, eclectic juxtapositions of color, and the tension of past and present. Her collections include ready-to-wear, handbags, footwear, accessories, jewelry, home and beauty. Empowering women is Tory’s guiding principle, expressed through her collections and her work at the Tory Burch Foundation. Established in 2009, the Foundation provides women entrepreneurs in the United States with access to capital, education and community. Every Tory Burch product supports the Foundation’s work. Through her unique hybrid model, Tory has created a paradigm for authentic brand purpose. Tory has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including the CFDA for Accessory Designer of the Year, WWD Women’s Designer of the Year, Harper’s Bazaar’s Designer of the Year, the Parsons School of Design’s Table Award, the Wharton School’s Jay H. Baker Retailing Center’s Retail Excellence Award, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Sandra Taub Humanitarian Award, Forbes’s Most Powerful Women in the World, and Glamour’s Women of the Year. Her first book, Tory Burch In Color (Abrams, 2014), was a New York Times Best Seller, and her designs have been featured in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute.

  • "I’m thrilled to introduce our new packaging. Crafted in recycled and responsibly sourced materials, it brings together heritage and sustainability while reflecting where we are today. I love the contrast of raw kraft paper, gold foil, and mossy green — a reference to our very first boutique in Nolita in 2004. Every box and shopper is designed to covet, to reuse, and to recycle again." -Tory Burch Learn more https://lnkd.in/gRDRFUPR

  • Thank you so much for including us in your article about brands on Substack, Rachel Karten!

This past week I got my first consulting inquiry for Substack. A brand was looking for help starting a presence on the platform. This came right on the heels of The RealReal's buzzy newsletter launch and Emily Sundberg's prediction that “We will see more brands trying out Substack this year”. Brands have mostly participated on Substack in the form of sponsored posts and founder accounts thus far. In part, because the platform’s official “Content Guidelines” state that “Substack is intended for high quality editorial content, not conventional email marketing.” Despite this, a new strategy is being written. Brands are creating Substack accounts and sending out newsletters under their own name. I spoke with designer Tory Burch, marketing experts, and Substack’s "Head of Lifestyle, Writer Partnerships" to piece together how brands should approach this new media platform. • As President of the Tory Burch Foundation, Tiffany Dufu makes it her business to understand the unique needs of women entrepreneurs and how best to support them. As she wound down her first year leading the group, she realized this: “One of the most important resource we can provide to women entrepreneurs is one another.”    Enter the President’s Council, a new advisory group comprised of nine founders from the Foundation’s Fellows Program. The group is tasked with providing insights that will inform the Foundation’s efforts to become the preeminent convener and advocate for women entrepreneurs in the nation.    “Just as entrepreneurs need to iterate based on their customers’ feedback, we want to leverage our council to understand how we can best create impact,” said Heesun Lho, VP, Programs of the volunteer group, chosen from 71 applicants.    Katalina Mayorga is excited to help advance the Foundation, which has already helped propel her business forward. In the two years following her fellowship, annual revenues for El Camino Travel tripled to reach $1M, a critical milestone for any startup and one that too few women-led businesses meet.     “It gives me such a strong sense of purpose, knowing I can contribute to the broader ecosystem for women entrepreneurs in our country,” said Katalina.

Mom. Wife. Businesswoman. Former national security official. Author of Who Believed in You: How Purposeful Mentorship Changes the World.

Five years ago, David McCormick and I watched as many Americans, including our six daughters, were lacking human connection and the guidance of mentors during the pandemic. So, we started interviewing influential leaders across America, and learning the stories of the mentors that changed their lives. We’ve both had the privilege of mentoring hundreds of people. It is one of the lasting impacts we are most proud of in our careers. Today, we’re so proud to (finally!) share with you, “Who Believed in You: How Purposeful Mentorship Can Change the World.” You can change somebody’s life — and that can change the world. Pre-order our new book on the power of transformative mentoring here at WhoBelievedInYouBook.com. https://lnkd.in/eTSshmPw

  • We are thrilled to share that Tory Burch has claimed the top spot for social engagement during New York Fashion Week, according to WWD. We had an engagement score of 3.2 million—a 39% increase from last fall. TikTok was pivotal to our success, driving 77% of our total owned engagements and securing our title as the Most Engaging brand on TikTok for the third consecutive season. https://lnkd.in/envN8MUa

  • We’re honored to have many tenured employees at our company and each month we recognize those celebrating their 10-, 15- and 20-year anniversaries with us. In December we arrived at a unique milestone: seven people marking a decade at a single Tory Burch boutique in Shanghai. “I am delighted to celebrate this truly memorable occasion with the other six team members from our store, who are not only colleagues but also like family,” said Summer Xia, Store Manager at our Qingpu location. “Over the past ten years at Tory Burch, we've always respected, understood and accepted each other, working together to make a pleasant and harmonious workplace.”   A heartfelt thank you and congratulations to Summer along with Ketty Cui, Coco Lan, Lin Yang, Anka Yao, Angel Yu and Andy Yuan! #teamtory
