🎮🚀 TIRTA Ventures is thrilled to announce our investment in Artificial.Agency, which has just emerged from stealth with $16M in funding! 🎮🚀 Artificial.Agency is building a behavior engine to power intelligent NPCs (agents) in video games. Despite the dramatic improvement in video game graphical fidelity, scale, and performance, AI behavior is still largely stuck in the 90s, bottlenecking realism and leading to bloated development costs. Artificial.Agency's technology enhances immersion and engagement by enabling dynamic interactions in NPCs that is native to gameplay, not only limited to dialogue. Characters and game systems are able to naturally respond to player actions, contributing to both scripted interactions and emergent gameplay to make makes games feel truly alive. A big congratulations to Fred Richardson, Joe Stevens, and the Red Rover Interactive team on their $15M Series A raise. TIRTA Ventures is thrilled to support Red Rover's reinvention of the multiplayer survival genre. The survival game market has expanded dramatically in the past decade, yet there are very few team capable of building a compelling PvP experience in the genre. From diving into the evolution of survival games with Fred in Oslo to playtesting the game repeated over the past year, we've been impressed with both the team's depth of knowledge and their quality of execution. In only a year's time, the Red Rover team has already made impressive progress on their first title (it's playable and fun!), a highly emergent and compelling team-based PvP sandbox survival game that challenges current conventions.
