Congrats to NCDOT on driving the first concrete pile on the Alligator River bridge replacement project in Tyrrell and Dare Counties this week. This $450M project will replace the aging Lindsay C. Warren Bridge on U.S. 64, a swing-span drawbridge, with a modern, two-lane fixed-span bridge just north of the current one. The new bridge is expected to open to traffic in the fall of 2029. Three Oaks prepared the environmental documentation and permits for this project and managed the consultant team responsible for the final engineering plans. Congrats to our project manager, Craig Young, and consultant team - Modjeski and Masters, WSP, Summit Design and Engineering Services, Volkert, Inc., and Ecosystem Planning and Restoration!
