Celebrate National Robotics Week by Supporting the Gum Springs Gizmos! In honor of National Robotics Week, Thomas & Hutton is proud to support the Gum Springs Gizmos, a standout FIRST Lego League robotics team from Gum Springs Elementary in Jefferson, Georgia. And you can too! These bright 4th and 5th graders recently placed 3rd in the Georgia State FLL Competition and have now earned a spot to compete on the international stage at Worcester Polytechnic Institute this June! Play looks different for every child. So should the spaces we create for them. This month, we’re honoring both Landscape Architecture and Autism Awareness — a perfect time to reflect on how thoughtful design can shape more inclusive spaces. Peyton Stokes, a T&H Charleston Landscape Designer, brought that idea to life through her senior project in college: a therapeutic rooftop garden designed for all kids to enjoy, explore, and heal. We were honored to join over 4,500 participants at Riverfront Park for the 19th annual Walk for Water in Charleston to support the global effort to bring safe, clean water to those in need. Since 2007, this impactful walk has helped provide life-changing access to safe water—and this year, Charleston is helping reach more than 14,000 people around the world! The 1.5-mile walk offers a powerful glimpse into the daily journey of the 2 billion people affected by the global water crisis. We walked to the Water Mission building, filled buckets with water, and carried them back—an experience that was both humbling and eye-opening. Bonus moment: We crossed the Noisette Pedestrian Bridge designed by our T&H team! Always meaningful when our projects connect with our purpose.

Shout out to Buford Project Manager, Matt Felts, P.E. for crushing the Donut Dash 5K Fundraiser for Twin Rivers Middle School! Matt placed 2nd overall and 1st in his age category!! This second annual race supports a school that’s extra special to us at T&H—our teammate Corina Fluker’s mom is a dedicated teacher at Twin Rivers, which made showing up for this event even more meaningful.
