The 13th day of Nowruz, known as Sizdah Bedar (سیزدهبدر), is all about getting outdoors, embracing nature, and leaving bad luck behind! When? The 13th day of the Persian New Year (Farvardin 13) What happens? Families and friends head to parks, mountains, or countryside for a day-long picnic, enjoying food, music, and games. Why? According to tradition, staying indoors on the 13th brings bad luck—so Iranians spend the day outside in nature to bring happiness and fresh energy for the year ahead! Fun Fact: One of the main customs is "Dorugh-e Sizdah", similar to April Fool’s pranks, where people tell small lies for fun! Another tradition is releasing Sabzeh (sprouted greens) into running water, symbolizing letting go of negativity and making room for new beginnings. Who’s ready for a picnic? Where would you celebrate Sizdah Bedar? Let us know in the comments! #SizdahBedar #Nowruz #PersianTraditions #PersianNewYear #ParsPlace

In Iran, hospitality isn’t just a gesture; it’s a way of life. The Persian concept of Mehmoon Navazi (مهماننوازی) translates to "guest welcoming," and it’s deeply rooted in our culture. Whether it’s friends, family, or even strangers, Iranians go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable and valued. A Heartwarming Tradition: When someone visits, it’s customary to offer a spread of tea, sweets, nuts, and homemade dishes. The warm, inviting atmosphere reflects the values of connection and generosity. Have you experienced Persian hospitality?
