The Digital Chamber has submitted official comments to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regarding its proposed interpretation of Regulation E and the unintended consequences for blockchain gaming platforms and self-hosted wallets. Our key message: applying Regulation E as currently drafted would impose technologically impossible obligations and stifle innovation — without delivering meaningful consumer protection. TDC strongly supports the Financial Technology Protection Act of 2025 which recently passed out of committee 49-0. This bipartisan legislation takes important steps to combat illicit finance while fostering innovation in financial technology.

The successful markup of the Stablecoin Transparency and Accountability for a Better Ledger Economy (STABLE) Act marks real progress toward securing U.S. leadership in the future of finance and provides meaningful momentum toward long-overdue regulatory clarity.
