This morning we've been researching a new brewery which sounds really exciting. They have a great brand, a great mission and the beers sound delicious. However we wondered because they have a great mission is there a chance their focus is on their mission and therefore their beers aren't actually going to taste that great? We looked at their beers on an alternative mainstream rating app where their beers received slightly underwhelming scores. Their pilsner scored 3.37 / 5 which has made us a bit hesitant about buying it. However is that score actually appropriate or is it misleading? If I look at the top 20 beers produced in England from that website 90% are either an IPA or a Stout, which would suggest to me that maybe people using the app aren't potentially Pilsner fans, which could impact the score. What we really need is a score based on Pilsner fans Or What would be even better is a score based on people with similar tastes to ours. And that is exactly what we aim to do with The Beer Explorers in the near future! Use our beer rating platform today at www.thebeerexplorers.co.uk or contact us if you would like us to feature your beer festival in the website! #beer #beerratings #beereating #beerexplorers #beerfestival #beergeek #beerdiscovery

A couple of weeks ago James Watt put a post up asking for a 15 second pitch from businesses looking for investment , which seemed too good an opportunity for The Beer Explorers to miss. However explaining the business' mission in 15 seconds is actually really hard, 15 seconds is even shorter than it sounds. It was a great exercise though as it really allows us to drill down to what is the purpose of the business and as a beer rating platform we narrowed it down to 2; 1. Provide personalised beer recommendations to our users - There are around 2,000 active breweries (possibly more) in the UK and it is really hard to be adventurous and try new beers when you don't know where to start. Our first aim is to provide our users with beer recommendations that are specific to their tastes. 2. Create meaningful insights for breweries - when researching our business plan we spoke to a number of breweries about competitor beer rating apps and the main feedback was that the data collected wasn't reliable and didn't mean anything to them, that sounds so wrong to us. We want to work with breweries to extract reports from the ratings to give them data that helps them answer their strategic conversations. These are our two main pillars of what our business is, but there are so many outputs which we aim to deliver in the coming months like we believe any good beer rating platform should. Here is our video which we submitted, unfortunately no investment yet but who knows what the future holds. #beer #beeruk #beerrating #breweries #beerinsights #beerfestivals

🍺⭐️ 🥳YOU CAN NOW RATE ANY BEER AT ANY TIME 🥳 ⭐️🍺 We have finally added the new feature to The Beer Explorers rating website! We have wanted this feature for a while as it allows users to rate any beer at any time. This means users are no longer limited to only rating beers at festivals or bound by the beers prepopulated on the website. This is great as we can now recommend beers after beer festivals to attendees that they didn't try at the event and see how much they like our recommendations! As always you can then track all your beer reviews through "Your Ratings". This new feature is beautifully demonstrated in the video below! #beerexplorers #beernerd #beerstagram #beersuk #beerrating

The Beer Explorers is live! 🎉 The Beer Explorers is a web application which currently focuses on enabling attendees of Beer festivals to keep track of how they rate each beer. This then enables us to keep the user in touch with the beer they love as well as being able to recommend them new beers that we know they'll love! All this data then gets transformed into meaningful insights which we share with the festival organisers and breweries to enable them to make data led strategic decisions. Get in touch now if you would like The Beer Explorers to be implemented at your beer festival or check out www.thebeerexplorers.co.uk #beer #beeruk #beernerd #beerfestivals #beerdata #beerrating
