We Develop People, Not Just Skills The Training Source, Inc. is an award winning 501(c)(3), non-profit that provides comprehensive job training programs and certifications for job seekers, youth development programs, safety-net services for families in-need and professional training for employers. The Training Source, Inc. is one of only a few nonprofits in Prince George’s County to carry the Maryland Nonprofits’ Standards For Excellence® seal of accreditation and Candid® Platinum Rating. The Training Source, Inc. was founded in 1993 by its current Executive Director, Evelyn Kim Rhim. The vision for The Training Source grew from a desire to earn a living by sharing her skills and knowledge with those whose personal and professional growth and development would be enhanced by her assistance. She requires this vision to be present in all employees of The Training Source. Mission & Vision The mission of The Training Source is to provide education, training and services that promote positive economic mobility. Our vision is “economic mobility for all!”

  • Community Resource Spotlight: Supporting Our Neighbors in Need As our nation faces ongoing economic uncertainty, many individuals and families across the DMV region are struggling with job losses, rising costs of everyday essentials like food and gas, and increasing financial instability. Food insecurity, already a pressing issue for many, is now affecting even more of our neighbors. Organizations like the Capital Area Food Bank and other regional food banks play a vital role in ensuring that families have access to nutritious meals during these challenging times. Their support is more critical than ever as they work to meet the growing demand.     Help is available for those affected by reductions in federal jobs and funding. Beginning on Saturday, April 5th, the Capital Area Food Bank will be holding new pop-up food distributions for affected workers, where they can pick up food boxes containing shelf-stable groceries and fresh produce. These new food distributions will be held twice a week through June: on Thursdays from 5 – 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 – 11 a.m., or while supplies last each day.
