The Carolyn C. Mattingly Award for Mental Health in the Workplace recognizes and celebrates exemplary organizations that advance the mental health and well-being of their workforce, while also serving as role models for other employers. These awards were created in partnership with Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Please encourage any organizations doing great work in the area of mental health and well-being for their employees to apply for this prestigious award. Applications are being accepted until May 31, 2025. The Luv u Project introduced the Carolyn C. Mattingly Award for Mental Health Reporting in 2015, in partnership with the National Press Foundation, to honor excellence in mental health reporting. Often referenced as "The most prestigious award in America for Mental Health Reporting", the Award recognizes exemplary journalism that illuminates and advances the understanding of mental health issues and treatments. The application deadline is March 6th. U.S.-based journalists in any media (print, broadcast or digital) are eligible to apply for work created in calendar year 2024. The Luv u Project and its young professional program, uLead, have launched a new young professional leadership network to address some of the biggest mental health challenges young professionals witness and experience in the workplace. These high-achieving rising stars, led by uLead chair Julia Alpaio, are deeply committed to breaking down the stigma of mental health in both the workplace and in society.
