What a wild journey it's been the last couple of months. 🔥 Nothing less than what only a South African can endure and make absolutely beautiful 🇿🇦🙌 I've been pondering on whether or not I should make this post, but I've finally reached the time where I feel ready! 7 months ago, I was not in a good place as a business professional and as a South African. Working at a place I learnt so much invaluable knowledge from and enjoyed it very much. BUT I was in my comfort zone, and couldn't grow any further. Just as I was about to start looking for places to grow, I received my termination letter (because of an unforeseen client making things complicated), and was given a month. Left with an amazing relationship with my previous boss and colleagues. So much so that my boss called Renier Lombard and asked if he had an opportunity. Within a week's time, I had a slightly unconventional interview with Renier and Bob's your uncle, I'm at the centre of South Africa's fastest growing network. I can't put into words the absolute pleasure it has been working for The Lekker Network and meeting all our phenomenal Saffas doing extraordinary things in the world. My love for my country has been FIRED up to say the least 🇿🇦 In between all the Chaos, I met the love of my life Lyndsay Adamson, who has been there through thick and thin.... like only a South African woman can 😂🇿🇦♥️ Thanks to all the chaos and hard decisions I had to make, this one was the easiest. What an honour and privilege it is to call you my fiance', and in a few months time, Mrs Visser 🔥 NOTHING could have been possible without God. All glory to my Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. My country is safe in your hands 🙌🇿🇦🔥

Hello Sunshine! 🌞 Spring has finally arrived in the Northern Hemisphere, and it’s starting to feel like the fresh beginning a new year should bring. As we shake off the chill of the past few months and embrace the growth unfolding around us, both in nature and within ourselves, it’s the perfect time to elevate one of my key strengths. Saffa Networking comes second nature to me. With over 90% of my U.K. Mortgage & Protection clients being South African, as well as more than 90% of my global social circle, it’s clear that my deep connection to my homeland runs strong. With 13 years experience of fostering change, encouraging civic participation within our expat community, and helping improve lives back home, it only makes sense, and I’m thrilled to say, that I’ve now officially joined The Lekker Network. The power of a single conversation. And it led to something you might have sitting in your cupboard at home. Some time ago, I was stuck at Heathrow waiting for a flight when I got a message from Ken Kinsey-Quick, who was trying to get a little business off the ground. At the time, no one outside of South Africa had heard of Banhoek Chili oil, and Covid was stifling his whole operation. He was struggling with distribution. Luckily for Ken, I had recently met with Dannon Cook, an ex-Red Bull and other brand exec, who had moved to the UK and was looking for inspiration and ideas for his import-export business bringing in products from SA! I got the two in touch, and next thing you know, Banhoek chili oil is exploding and is all over the UK, big retailers and boutique vendors too, all spreading the love for the tasty little sauce!! And that's the power of a single conversation. It can make a world of difference. That's why I have faith in things like The Lekker Network! If you just connect the right people, you'll never know what might just happen.

The fastest way to scale up a new friendship into a business partnership is getting outside and onto the golf course 😎 I met Jordaan via Rudolf, via The Right Place Podcast and we clicked. It definitely helped that he also played golf! So when he was here for The Lekker Network launch we played a round at Da Zalze GC in Stellenbosch👌 You see I have known for many years now that business isn’t just built in boardrooms, it’s built in moments of trust. And few places create those moments better than a golf course. Why? Because golf (or any other outdoor experience) accelerates connectability between people. ✔️ 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 Four hours on a course beats a rushed coffee meeting. ✔️ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 You see how they think, strategise, and handle pressure. ✔️ 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 No scripts, no slides, just people being real. Some of my best business relationships started long before we signed a deal because we built trust first. And often, it started outside, where the real conversations can happen. If you only depend on boardrooms to build partnerships, you're missing out on learning who people actually are. Let's all take more meetings outside, and have some fun! P.S.
