April marks National Stress Awareness Month. Stress can affect your body, thoughts, feelings, and behavior. Being able to recognize common symptoms of stress can help you manage them. Stress that's left unchecked can contribute to many health problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, and diabetes. While we make it through April, look for some ways that you can help lower your stress levels. We know you all enjoyed meeting our CEO, so say hello to our amazing COO, Patrick Wooten! Patrick began his career journey with IU Medical Group in 1998, the predecessor to Eskenazi Medical Group, before transitioning into leadership roles at Eskenazi Health and then at Jane Pauley CHC, Inc. in January 2020. This year marks his 27th year of serving and leading operations in healthcare settings for vulnerable populations! When asked why he wanted to work here at JPCHC, he said he was attracted to the company's mission and comprehensive network of locations in the Indy Metro area. He expressed that supporting effective operations management teams to enhance practice operations is both rewarding and fulfilling. For anyone aspiring to do this kind of work, Patrick shared a quote from his Grandmother; "Grow where you are planted, and allow yourself to be led." He says it's important to recognize growth and development opportunities wherever they may arise- success is a deeply personal concept that will vary with each individual. But whatever you do, always strive to make a meaningful impact. When Patrick isn't helping the community here at JPCHC, you may find him at an auto show, spending time with his family, reading, teaching, or volunteering at his church.
