Curiosity is at the heart of childhood learning. In this Scary Mommy article, our chief academic officer, Dr. Lauren Loquasto, shares how our schools nurture children’s innate curiosity through our inquiry-based education program, Wonder of Learning. She also provides practical tips for families to foster curiosity at home. “When children are encouraged to follow their curiosities, it instills a growth mindset, the notion that ‘I may not know yet, but I can find out,’” Dr. Loquasto explains. It was an unforgettable week of collaboration and celebration at #GoddardFC25. During the closing session, we honored the remarkable contributions of franchisees who go above and beyond for the Goddard system and their communities—more on that next week—before our chairman and CEO, Dennis R. Maple, addressed the audience for the last time before his retirement at the end of the month. He reflected on his tenure with deep gratitude, calling this role the honor of a lifetime. He expressed his appreciation for the franchisees who work tirelessly to make the world a better place through early childhood education every day. In a symbolic moment, he passed the baton to our incoming CEO, Darin Harris, ushering in an exciting new chapter for Goddard. The event ended with a celebration at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders. Among the highlights were fun, though at times surprisingly intense, field games. Yes, our #GoddardFamily was playing on the field that hosted the Big Game just 13 months ago! Goddard School franchisees and Goddard Systems employees are leaving Las Vegas feeling inspired and reenergized. We thank all of the attendees for making this the best Franchisee Convention in Goddard’s history!
