This is a true career milestone for me and my team at The Music Playground. You may have noticed us posting recently about our Stop The Iron Pipeline campaign. This initiative aims to raise awareness and drive policy change related to the pressing issue of illegal gun trafficking in the United States, specifically focusing on Maryland which ranks among the top states for trafficked guns. The Music Playground had the distinct privilege of collaborating with renowned hip-hop artist and Maryland native Logic on the anthem track for this initiative, called 𝘗𝘪𝘱𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦. I’m thrilled to announce that 𝘗𝘪𝘱𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦 is out now on all streaming platforms! This track is a testament to a powerful collaboration, featuring deeply personal storytelling from Logic, a guest verse from fellow Maryland native Oddisee, and background vocals from the Resonate Baltimore Children’s Choir - led by the incredible Monét Gutherie. With a beat crafted by the legendary 6ix, expert mixing by Bobby Campbell, and The Music Playground’s music supervision team guiding the project from start to finish, this song unites a collective of artists and professionals dedicated to driving change through music.
