To say the last week or so was amazing would be an understatement. From launching our 5th Cohort with Faculdade Sírio-Libanês with a new group of committed experience leaders to the global gathering at The Beryl Institute’s #ElevatePX. To say persistence is key is an understatement, especially in uncertain times for #healthcare and humanity. Both exemplify and bring to life a clear commitment - #humanexperience is our #truenorth. Still recovering from the #ElevatePX Conference. Grateful to The Beryl Institute team for putting together the best PX Party, Especially Natalie McKay who does an incredible job of keeping the show running. Thank you, also to Stacy Palmer, CPXP and Jason A. Wolf, Ph.D., CPXP for the incredible community you have created through the institute. I’m completely overwhelmed by the power of the patient experience (PX) community! Overall, an incredible conference experience. The keynotes, the presentations, the discussions, and the community’s collective drive to improve patient care were all truly inspiring. It’s always impressive to see how many professionals are dedicated to transforming the healthcare journey into something more patient-centered and meaningful. I was able to present research let by Yara Abou Harb on PX research from low and middle income contries. I also had the privilege of leading a session with Brittany L. on behalf of Patient Experience Journal (PXJ), where we presented ways for practitioners to contribute as readers, reviewers, and authors. I met the real Elvis and Dolly Parton, convince me otherwise, and feasted on habibiQ (ask us) with global PX leaders (Rick Evans, Vishal Bhalla, MBA,MS,CPXP,SPHR , Anne Marie Hadley, and Joyce Nazario, CPXP). But, perhaps best of all, in a very exciting conference, I was able to celebrate Shanequa Roscoe winning the PXJ Article of the Year for the work she led on the role of time and empathy in provider communication. Congratulations Shanequa! 🎉 It was amazing to engage with so many passionate individuals eager to share their expertise and insights, helping shape the future of patient experience research and thought leadership. The sense of collaboration and global commitment to elevating patient care is unmatched. I’m excited to bring these new insights back to my work at PXJ and continue contributing to this vibrant community. Lessons in trust & connection… First through The Beryl Institute, then stranded at the airport🙃 #ElevatePX was a great opportunity to share how Emplify Health is listening differently & loving BIG🩵 Grateful for the chance to spend time learning & plotting with humans from around the globe who share a common, compassionate purpose 🌎 Waiting hours through cancellations into the night I was lucky to find a former Emplify by Gundersen heart, one new to me - with uncertain plans & missing phone chargers we leaned into helping each other & others ‘just because.’ Keep smiling! #kindnesswins💓

I was beyond honored to celebrate and promote the #HumanExperience with patient experience professionals from around the globe at The Beryl Institute #ELEVATEPX 2025 Conference in Las Vegas this week. I joined executive #PFAC advisor leaders Fred Freeman and Sarah Jones-Chambers to share best practices from the longstanding, successful and robust Tampa General Hospital PFAC, and co-presented a patient experience hierarchy of needs research poster with PXO Lara Klick, CPXP. This conference and trip with so many of my closest colleagues was bittersweet as I conclude over 6 years of service in the TGH Patient Experience Division and begin my transition to a new opportunity in operations and support services within our great organization. What a wonderful last hoorah celebrating by working hard, playing hard and toasting to new beginnings with colleagues who have truly become friends. 🥂🎉👏🏻 #weareTGH #patientvoice #NewBeginnings
