🚛 April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month 🚛 Safety is our top priority, and safety starts with focus. This April, we’re raising awareness about the dangers of distracted driving and the critical need for attentive driving. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration NHTSA (NHTSA) reported that distracted driving continued to be a leading cause of road accidents in 2024: ·        Over 3,000 lives were lost due to distracted driving. ·        Distracted driving accounted for 14% of all traffic-related fatalities. ·        Nearly 400,000 accidents were caused by distractions, with 30% involving mobile phone use. 📱 Texting while driving is especially dangerous, diverting your attention for an average of 5 seconds—the equivalent of driving the length of a football field at 55 mph without looking at the road. 🏈 The most common causes of distracted driving include: ❌ Using cell phones (texting/calls) ❌ Vehicle technology systems (touchscreens, GPS, in vehicle entertainment) ❌ Eating or drinking ❌ Reaching for items ❌ Grooming and makeup application 💡 Stay safe with these tips: ✔️ Put your phone away: Out of sight, out of mind ✔️ Pull over: Stop in a safe spot if you need to use your phone 📞 ✔ Plan ahead: Input your GPS destination before hitting the road 📍 ✔ Avoid distractions: Refrain from eating, drinking, or multitasking 🍴 ✔ Be considerate: Don't call or text others while they’re driving 📱 Let’s work together to stay focused and promote safer roads - because a second of distraction can have lifelong consequences. 💙 #TForceFreight #LTL #DeliveringExcellece #DistractedDrivingAwareness #RoadSafety #Safety #StayFocused 

Honoring Bravery and Sacrifice: Medal of Honor Day ❤🤍💙 Each year, on March 25, we pause to reflect on the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the 3,528 individuals who have received the Medal of Honor—our nation’s highest military recognition, awarded for acts of “conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of one’s life, above and beyond the call of duty.” With its establishment by Congress and first observance in 1991, Medal of Honor Day serves as a moment to honor these remarkable heroes while fostering public appreciation for their unparalleled valor. The date holds significant historical meaning as the first Medals of Honor were presented on this day in 1863 to six members of Andrew’s Raiders. Since its creation, the Medal of Honor has been awarded 3,547 times, with 19 recipients earning it twice.  More than a celebration, this day reminds us of the selflessness and courage of those who have risked—and, in many cases, given—their lives to protect our freedoms. Events across the country, including the wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, honor their legacies. These solemn tributes bring together Medal of Honor Recipients to remember their comrades who made the ultimate sacrifice.
