His Majesty King Charles joined MAF International at their 80th Anniversary event, hosted by the Royal Air Force (RAF), to unveil newest addition to their fleet - a new Cessna 208 Caravan. We're proud to build aircraft like this Caravan that are equipped to provide aid to remote regions of the world.
His Majesty King Charles unveiled the newest addition to our fleet at Mission Aviation Fellowship’s 80th Anniversary Event, held at Royal Air Force (RAF) Northolt today. For 80 years Mission Aviation Fellowship has served over 1,000 remote destinations as a humanitarian air operator. This new Cessna 208 Caravan will deliver aid to remote regions in MAF Papua New Guinea (PNG). His Majesty joined MAF guests in the hanger, where he met MAF staff past and present along with members of the PNG community, in celebration of their 50th anniversary of Independence! The High Commissioner of PNG, Her Excellency Betty Palaso presented the King to members of the Papua New Guinean community in the UK including some of the country’s Rugby League players who play for Castleford Tigers R.L.F.C in the Super League; Judah Rimbu, Liam Horne, Sylvester Namo and Jeremiah Simbiken. It was an incredible day, and we are grateful to The Royal Family for being part of it and commissioning the plane! We can’t wait to have our Cessna 208 serving the PNG community!
