Tennessee Bureau of Investigation special agents used their high-risk recovery training to assist with emergency recovery efforts this week in response to the tornado that impacted Selmer Wednesday night. Selmer and surrounding West Tennessee communities were hit hard by EF-3 tornadoes, which caused significant damage, injuries and loss of life. TBI is committed to providing assistance and support to the communities and the residents we serve. Please keep all of those who have been impacted by this week's severe weather in your thoughts.

We were honored this week to host a special visit at our Nashville Headquarters from FBI Director Kash Patel, Senator Bill Hagerty, and Senator Marsha Blackburn. In meetings with TBI staff across several divisions, the three -- and their staff members -- learned the latest on some of our state's most pressing public safety issues, including human trafficking, illicit drugs, and the influence of criminal gangs on both and public safety as a whole. The three also had a chance to see and try out new virtual reality technology we're using to better train the state's law enforcement officers. Thanks for coming to visit!
