Organised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and Singapore FinTech Association (SFA), the prestigious SFF awards now in its ninth year celebrate outstanding FinTech innovation achievements. "This accolade underscores Tencent’s commitment to advancing secure, user-friendly innovations in digital payments. Our latest innovations reflect our dedication to enhancing everyday convenience through seamless and reliable solutions, while maintaining the highest standards of privacy and data security. Highlights from Tencent at the Singapore Fintech Festival 2024! Wenhui Yang, CEO of Tenpay Global (Singapore) and General Manager of Tencent Financial Technology, Asia Pacific, took the stage at the Singapore Fintech Festival yesterday to discuss “The Future of Seamless Payments – Powered by Tencent.” "With mobile payment, it does address some of the challenges we have had in the past. But is this the best, or can we make the best better? That's why we thought, 'why don't we think about using something different and probably cooler?' This is where we believe palm technology could make a difference." Yang shared, explaining how Tencent’s next-gen technology aims to redefine convenience and security in the digital payment landscape. "It can be used in different scenarios, to name a few: access, transportation, payment, sports, et cetera. All these, we have already done the pilots for, or even in larger scale application, in mainland China." Yang emphasised: "We understand that the payment journey is endless; the future is endless.
