We are proud to announce the transition of great leaders within our company. Jean-Michel Ribiéras, chairman and chief executive officer, will retire Dec. 31. John Sims, who serves as senior vice president and chief financial officer, will become chief operating officer, effective May 1, and Sylvamo’s next CEO Jan. 1, 2026. Sylvamo employees joined the Lichterman Nature Center for their annual plant sale! Over 150 species were available for individuals to shop and take home, like ferns, pollinator favorites for sun and shade and native shrubs. The first 1,500 plant lovers received a native seedling, courtesy of #TheWorldsPaperCo. We are an ongoing supporter of the Lichterman Nature Center’s mission bringing nature to life.

This Women’s History Month, we’re celebrating the strong women who make up every aspect of Sylvamo. 🙆 🌎 In Brazil, Silvia Berger, a career development coach, spoke to the women of # TheWorldsPaperCo about overcoming societal barriers and understanding their strengths and values. Attendees left with practical exercises to help them implement these practices in their daily lives. #WomensHistoryMonth

We’re proud to announce a partnership with ENGIE a Brazilian low-carbon energy company, to create renewable electricity at wind farms! 🌍✨ We will invest in ENGIE’s Serra do Assurua Wind Complex in Northeastern Brazil and purchase up to 60% of the electricity for our Mogi Guacu, Brazil, mill. “This project focuses on creating and using renewable energy, which perfectly aligns with our promise to produce paper in the most responsible and sustainable ways,” says Fabiano Rodrigues, supply chain and forestry director at Sylvamo.
