Meet the OG Sybill Sales Squad - now in digital collectibles. 😁 The crew, staying lean yet carrying million-dollar businesses on their shoulders, closing hefty deals swiftly, and shielding all of us from the frontlines. We turned their chaos, charm, and CRM tabs into digital collectibles - and framed them with cool coffee cups. (No, but Nishit literally has his amber cup with his name and he's obsessed with it, lol) Because if you’re gonna build with legends, you may as well create funky collectibles for them! To Akshat, Nikki, Sarah, & Nishit 🩷

Co-founder@Sybill | Do less, close more.

I raised $15M+ as a young founder. I was told to “Hire the best people & get out of their way.” That’s spectacularly unhelpful advice. I tried that in the early days of Sybill: I hired smart people. Gave them tons of autonomy. Assumed they needed ‘creative freedom’. Till it all came crashing down: Smart ppl built things that didn’t align. And moved fast… in opposite directions. Not because they weren’t good. But because: 👉 Talent without alignment is chaos. 👉 Autonomy without clarity is useless. Clarity IS your job as a founder. So today, I ruthlessly filter ‘advice’. Today, I DON’T “hire & get out of the way.” I’m in the trenches. Working on the details. Because that’s what wins tech wars. #Startups #Clarity #Contrariantake

Slack, 2016: “We can probably get away without a sales team forever.” Slack, 2025: 500+ sales and 350+ customer success staff. Slack isn't alone—many companies find combining PLG with sales accelerates growth. But it's not simple. Here's what we've learned building sales teams from scratch in PLG environments: 1. First GTM Hire? Data from OpenView (450+ software companies) shows: → 51% prioritize Sales → 31% start with Marketing → Growth roles typically fit best after Product-Market Fit is established. At Sybill, our first hire was a VP of Sales (initially a GTM advisor, later CRO), crucial in setting up our enterprise strategy. 2. Your ideal first hire depends on: → Product offering: freemium, trial, or sales-led → Market specifics → Current economic landscape 3. Sequencing Your Hires: → First, assess your gaps and diagnose key challenges. → Prioritize hires based on immediate needs—e.g., if customer expansion is weak, prioritize customer success and onboarding. 4. Diversity Drives Performance: → Ethnically diverse companies outperform financially by 35%. → Gender diversity boosts returns by 15%. → Teams reflecting client diversity increase customer understanding by 152%. 5. Prioritize Data Early: Effective use of data accelerates onboarding from months to weeks and significantly improves individual performance. Tools like Sybill → Predict buying behavior (predictive analytics) → Provide personalized insights for improved conversion rates → Optimize sales strategies efficiently 6. Designing Compensation for PLG Sales Teams: → Initially avoid traditional quotas; allow 4-6 months for full onboarding. → Clarify your business goals (new customer acquisition vs. existing customer expansion). → Clearly define roles: Product-assist, SDRs/BDRs, Account Executives, and Account Managers with tailored KPIs. → Tie compensation directly to strategic behaviors and measurable outcomes. 7. Key compensation considerations: → Fairly reward AEs for assisting self-serve accounts. → Incentivize early expansion revenue. → Encourage strategic deal-making rather than quantity alone. → Avoid commission caps except in exceptional circumstances. FYI: PLG won't solve a terrible product experience and we can't ignore this meme from Yaakov Carno 👀

I help B2Bs doing $200k to $900k revenue per year double sales opportunities in 100 days by installing new sales channels. More channels, more leads, more sales. It's that simple.

I spent the last 100 days building my B2B growth agency and found the secret to get to $10k MRR without hiring a single human. How? Robots. 🤖 🧠 (Robot chief of staff, robot sales rep, robot video editor, robot appointment booker etc. 😅 ) So I made a full Notion playbook on the "10 Robots that helped me get to $10k MRR in 100 days" And now it’s time to give the playbook to you guys.
