Earlier this week, SFI team members Laurel Terry, Sydney Sánchez Murphy, and Kira Halpern joined industry colleagues in Washington, DC for the American Frozen Food Institute Government Action Summit. The two-day summit was filled with impactful conversations, valuable policy insights, and face-to-face meetings with lawmakers and their teams to share the legislative priorities that matter most to our industry, our company, and our community. Thank you to AFFI for hosting such a powerful event and continuing to elevate the voice of frozen food! Now, more than ever, we need to come together to advocate for the benefits of frozen food. #FrozenFoodStrong #AFFI #GovernmentActionSummit #FrozenFoodIndustry #PolicyAndAdvocacy #SuperiorFoods

I’m excited to share that I’ve joined Superior Foods International as a Trade Compliance Coordinator! This role is a meaningful step for me, as it allows me to deepen my passion for international trade and global cooperation. I’ve always been drawn to the way goods, people, and policies intersect across borders—and now I get to contribute to that process firsthand. At SFI, I’ll be supporting the movement of food products across global supply chains, helping ensure that trade is done responsibly, efficiently, and in compliance with U.S. standards. What drew me to Superior Foods is more than just the work—it’s the mission. SFI is committed to using business as a force for good, striving to improve the lives and well-being of the communities it touches. The company’s core values—trust, transparency, and credibility—are at the heart of everything it does, and I’m proud to be part of a team that leads with purpose and integrity. I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow with a company that values innovation, community impact, and strong global partnerships. Looking forward to learning, contributing, and building meaningful connections in this field. #NewRole #InternationalTrade #GlobalSupplyChain #SuperiorFoodsInternational #PurposeAndImpact #TradeCompliance

Last month marked Jacob's Heart Children's Cancer Support Services’s second annual Spring Soirée fundraiser, and SFI was honored to sponsor this incredible event once again. With a mission to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and support their families, Jacob’s Heart has served 3,774 seriously ill children and their families in our community. SFI has proudly supported Jacob’s Heart for over a decade, and we continue to find new ways to make an impact. From hosting a pajama drive and collecting egg cartons for their grocery program to sponsoring a teen cooking class, participating in Adopt-a-Family, and even fundraising through the Monterey Half Marathon, our team has been all in. A huge shoutout to Alejandrina Ponce for grocery deliveries and to Jenny Ogden-Tinoco & Kaitlynn Armintrout-Evans for their dedication in fundraising efforts. Thank you to everyone for coming together in support of Jacob’s Heart! Learn more about Jacob's Heart here: https://lnkd.in/gsNYvY_a

According to National Geographic, frozen fruits and vegetables are often just as nutritious (or even more so) than their fresh counterparts. Since they’re picked at peak ripeness and flash-frozen, they retain essential vitamins and antioxidants that can decrease in fresh produce over time. Beyond nutrition, frozen produce helps reduce food waste, extends shelf life, and can be a more affordable choice for consumers. With food costs rising, keeping frozen fruits and veggies on hand makes healthy eating easier and more budget-friendly.
