🌟 Historic Milestone: Stella's Girls, Inc. led Charles County's first-ever all-black female student delegation to the UN's Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) this March! Our young leaders didn't just attend - they SHINED at the UN Headquarters in New York City! From March 19-21, our students from PGCPS & CCPS demonstrated exceptional leadership, participating in crucial global discussions and sharing powerful perspectives on empowering African women and youth. A special highlight: We co-hosted an inspiring parallel event, "Empowering Girls: Building the Leaders of Tomorrow," alongside FEZANA at the Church Centre United Nations on March 20th. This groundbreaking experience wasn't just a moment - it was a movement. What started as a dream to empower young girls and women has blossomed into a vibrant community across continents, from Maryland to the heart of Africa. This year, I've witnessed firsthand the power of education and mentorship. I've seen young girls in Maryland light up as they write their first lines of code, and I've watched young women in Sierra Leone step confidently into roles as community leaders.
