Lori Nodler, Assistant Principal of St. Joseph Academy, which provides schooling for our #SJKids, received this email from Ronnie Nolan, Executive Director of the Kentucky Educational Collaborative for State Agency Children. The academy is located inside of St. Joseph Children’s Home. Thank you and your team for an exceptional visit to your program yesterday. I have not had the opportunity to visit the program since the renovation, but it was exceptional. We are proud of the work you are doing to meet the needs of state agency children. It is evident that you and your team are committed to meeting kids where they are and doing everything you can to ensure they have a high-quality educational experience. We all walked away with a better understanding of what you do, the complexity of the students you serve, and new, exciting, and innovative ideas. We especially appreciated the opportunity to see the residential units, as we were not able to build that in at the other residential programs. We loved our visit to your science classroom and we all were impressed with the exceptional instruction taking place. When we debriefed as a team following our visits, the feedback was consistent: It was clear your team cared about kids, that you worked incredibly hard to make sure they had every opportunity, and you are committed to providing a high-quality education for our kids.
