The Niemond Zonders (Student Nursing Club) and Nursing faculty did it again this year! The second annual Saint Baldrick’s Day Carnival was held at the McDonough Sports Complex on Saturday, April 12, and raised more than $20,000 for children’s cancer research. The carnival featured games, fabulous prize giveaways and other fun activities for families, as well as the traditional St. Baldrick's Foundation head shaving. All for a great cause! Congratulations to all of the faculty and students who worked so hard to pull this event together once again! #stbaldricksfoundation #conquerkidscancer #nursing #fundraiser #carnival #donate #hudsonvalley #hvcc #college #student

He raised nearly $1,200 for childhood cancer research! He’s exceeded his goal each year, and his fundraising total since 2022 is over $3,700.💚

Logan is a fun-loving, energetic boy who enjoys roughhousing with his older brother, building with Legos, and anything Spider-Man. He also loves jiu-jitsu and tumbling, always full of energy and adventure. In October 2024, Logan was diagnosed with Wilms tumor. 💔 His treatment journey has included kidney removal surgery, a testicular #biopsy for fertility preservation, and #radiation to his chest and abdomen after scans showed the #cancer had spread to his lungs. He continues #chemo through the summer, with an evaluation ahead to determine if more treatment is needed. Through it all, Logan has shown incredible strength, reminding himself of his bravery even when #hospital visits make him nervous. His journey has made him both resilient and kind. 🙏 Last month, his dad, Jonathan, shaved his head in Logan’s honor—a powerful show of support for his son and kids like him. 💚 Join their fight and help give hope to kids facing cancer: https://ow.ly/uhlv50Vyoia #researchishope #researchmatters #childhoodcancerresearch #pediatriccancerresearch #charity

Last month, our employees on Oahu volunteered to Brave the Shave for St. Baldrick's Foundation's 14th annual fundraiser event, which was sponsored by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 1260 and Dave & Buster's Hawaii. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation hosts Brave the Shave events across the country to support children who lose their hair during cancer treatment. Participants raise funds and shave their heads in solidarity! Mahalo to our employees who courageously participated!

Students coming together for a good cause… Here are some snapshots from The Hotchkiss School’s St. Baldrick's Foundation event this year, where students once again showed their support for childhood cancer research. I’m proud to be able to capture an event full of courage and compassion. Shoutout to everyone who donated and/or shaved their heads in support.
