Sparton hosted members of FloridaCommerce for a tour of our DeLeon Springs headquarters on Wednesday. With over 1,000 employees, our Florida facility is proud to support the state’s economy and local communities. Thank you to Chris Wimsatt and EJ GHOBAR for the visit and seeing firsthand the problem solving, innovation, advanced engineering and manufacturing behind America’s best maritime defense solutions.

We recently showed appreciation to members of Sparton’s Q36 line for overall Quarterly Quality Award performance. On the menu: a variety of cupcakes, assorted chocolate treats and key lime pie.

Celebratory smashburgers for #TeamSparton! Congratulations to members of our Q53 line for getting ahead of its production schedule this quarter! Members of our smashburger line grilled nearly 300 burgers to go along with the loaded potato and broccoli salads.

#TeamSparton commemorated President and CEO Donnelly Bohan’s first “Sparton-versary” this week. The celebration included pretzels, a Pepsi “cake,” and pictures with a life-sized cardboard cutout and signature “Donnelly-isms.” Sparton is looking forward to another year of growth as a leading supplier of critical maritime solutions under Donnelly’s trusted leadership and expertise. 

March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month, and March 7 is Dress in Blue Day. Sparton team members sported their blue shirts today to bring awareness to the disease. Colon cancer awareness is deeply personal for Sparton President and CEO Donnelly Bohan, who lost both her father and friend of 30+ years to the disease. Bohan has channeled her grief into purpose—advocating for regular screenings and colonoscopies. According to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, colon cancer is the fourth most-commonly diagnosed cancer in the U.S. but is highly treatable when detected early. Happy “Sparton-versary” to Trey Kanaman, VP of Engineering. Trey reflects on his first year at Sparton: “As I reflect back on my first year with Sparton, I am incredibly proud of what our team has accomplished. I’m most proud of the qualification and initial production of our new buoys. None of this would have been possible without the talent and dedication of this amazing team. This year has reinforced the importance of working alongside people who are not only skilled, but deeply committed to the mission. Their passion and expertise inspire me every day, and makes Sparton a great place to work. Looking ahead, I am excited for us to build on the momentum we have started this year and continue solving tough challenges for our customers. Sparton has a long history of innovation, and I am eager to see how we can push the boundaries even further to deliver the solutions our customers need.”
