A recent report from Mercer introduced the concept of intentional work design, which is the process of deconstructing individual jobs and re-assigning tasks and responsibilities to optimize their employees' work. It's partially a response to increasing uses of AI in the workplace, and partially a response to the huge changes many industries are experiencing due to more employees working remotely and looking for more meaning and value in the work they do.
