Verifying a license before working with a professional in the homebuilding industry: Home builders in Arizona must be licensed in order to work on projects that require a permit or cost more than $1,000 to complete. Before hiring a home builder, it’s crucial to verify their license to confirm that they are legally qualified to perform work, will perform it safely and competently, and will adhere to all local building regulations. Their license protects you from safety issues and risks, including financial and legal risks. To verify a home builder’s license in Arizona, you can visit the Arizona Registrar of Contractors website and search for the contractor by name or license number. How to use customer reviews to make sure you’re choosing the right contractor: Before hiring a contractor, you should read customer reviews carefully. It also helps to know what to look for, or what the red flags are in customer reviews. While all businesses occasionally get bad reviews, how a company responds to a negative review can tell you a lot about their values and integrity. If they respond defensively or in an unprofessional or hostile way, they may treat you the same way. If they do what they can to make it right for the customer, they are demonstrating a strong commitment to customer service and quality. Read reviews on multiple platforms and look for details about the company’s work quality, punctuality, honesty, communication style, attention to detail, and conflict resolution. If there are multiple reviews that cite the same concerns, that could indicate an ongoing problem with that contractor. Scheduling an initial consultation also gives you the opportunity to vet a contractor and see if they’re a good fit. To find a qualified contractor in Southern Arizona, use the SAHBA directory. #reviews #contractor #homebuilder https://bit.ly/42584Wr
