From hospital bed to home sweet home. 🏡 After years of battling muscular disorders and a surprise B-cell lymphoma diagnosis, Mary Cleere arrived at Onondaga Center determined to fight her way back to independence. With the support of our OT and PT teams — and her fierce spirit — she went from wheelchair-bound to walking again, from discouraged to empowered. ✨ Today, Mary is back in her Cazenovia home, living life on her terms. From personalized care plans to fun, hands-on activities, Kately knows how to make therapy work and wow! Kately started as an OT student at Slate Valley in 2022 and came back full-time after completing her doctorate in 2023 🎓👏—and we’ve been obsessed ever since! Whether it’s air-dry clay ghosts for Halloween 👻, Easter egg hunts 🐣, or cozy cooking groups complete with a resident-made recipe book 🍳📖, Kately always brings the fun and keeps our patients moving and smiling.
