Ike Reighard is the President and CEO of MUST Ministries, the 27th largest nonprofit in metro Atlanta. MUST serves nearly 70,000 people a year who are struggling through poverty. Ike has successfully combined business experience with ministry and has an outstanding reputation for transforming communities through serving others. Ike has been recognized as the Cobb County Citizen of the Year, Marietta Citizen of the Year, one of Georgia Trend Magazine’s Most Influential Leaders and one of the 50 CEO’s of Who’s Who in Atlanta Nonprofits. During Ike's tenure at MUST, he has led the organization through the planning and opening of one of the country's most unique homeless shelters, the MUST Hope House; the launch of the MUST Mobile Pantry, which brings healthy foods to areas of food deserts; and has guided the 53-year-old nonprofit to unprecedented growth in a short amount of time. Ike is also senior pastor at Piedmont Church in Marietta and has built the church to a large membership that heavily focuses on serving others. Previously, he was Founding Pastor of NorthStar Church and guided that church to unprecedented growth from 1997 until 2006. NorthStar was noted as the fastest growing church startup in the world’s largest Protestant denomination. In the corporate arena, Ike served as Executive Vice President, Chief People Officer and originator of The Office of People and Culture for HomeBanc Mortgage Corporation from 2000 until 2007. HomeBanc was selected and benchmarked in FORTUNE Magazine’s list of the “100 Best Places to Work in America” by the Great Places to Work Institute of San Francisco. Under Reighard’s leadership, this company also won the 2006 Turknett Leadership award for Leadership Character. He has co-authored two popular daily inspirational books, “Success Insights” and “Daily Insights”, with Zig Ziglar for Tyndale House Publishing. He is also the author of “Treasures From The Dark”, “Discovering Your North Star” and “Discovering Your North Star Journal”. Words from a recent Serenade Heights Graduate Mom “Serenade Heights has purpose. They serve the single moms in our community in such a big way. Two years ago I was just shy of being a divorced, single mom for about a month. I felt alone. Abandoned. I (briefly) questioned everything I had been taught about God and faith. They were my soft landing after a time of tragedy and unforeseen heartbreak in our family. My story is very complex with lots of twists and turns and valleys and peaks. There is trauma, there is healing ... I learned how to function and survive independently on my own after years of being co-dependent. I grew spiritually. I was loved and sometimes that was tough love. They were my mountain top after lots of valleys. The Aaron to my Moses holding me up and keeping steady during the battle. I would not be where I am today without the love and support they gave me. My story is long with sad parts. But Serenade Heights is one of the best parts, the happy part and I would not change a single thing about my story even if I could right all the wrongs. Without the sad parts, I’d never have had the privilege to get to know these ladies and the love they offer to single moms in the community.” -Kelli

A big Thank you to Nicole Thomas for presenting "Craft Your Future! Build a Resume to GET HIRED" at our last Workshop for Single Moms. Nicole answered all of the questions and gave our moms some great advice on how to navigate the new digital side to getting noticed by the AI tools that are in place to aid hiring managers. #giveback #communitysupport Our workshops are offered to any single mom in the community, they include free dinner and childcare, so the moms can socialize and learn valuable skills to move toward sustainable independence for their families!
