👏 The Trump Administration’s latest action to advance the first wave of critical mineral production projects is a strong step toward securing America’s industrial and energy future. ▪️ At SAFE, we have long said that building resilient, domestic supply chains for critical minerals is not just an economic imperative—it is a national security one. This announcement sends a clear signal to investors, developers, and global markets: the United States is serious about reducing dependence on adversaries and reshoring the materials that power everything from vehicles and semiconductors to defense systems. ⛏️ We commend the Administration for prioritizing permitting reform, fast-tracking high-impact projects, and leveraging tools like FAST-41 and DPA authority to accelerate domestic production. But executive action alone is not enough—we need comprehensive, codified permitting reform from Congress to provide lasting certainty and unlock the full potential of American resource development. ▪️ SAFE has long advocated for the inclusion of more mining projects under the Permitting Council to ensure coordinated, expedited review of critical mineral projects. SAFE will continue to advocate for bold, coordinated action that enables America to lead—from mine to market. #CriticalMinerals #EnergySecurity #SupplyChainResilience #PermittingReform #NationalSecurity #IndustrialStrategy

⚠️ Delays to critical infrastructure projects like the Joint Targeted Interconnection Queue (JTIQ) not only threaten grid reliability but also slow America’s progress toward energy dominance—a cornerstone of our economic strength and national security. 📢 SAFE's Center for Grid Security urges the advancement of the JTIQ project. To meet the Administration’s energy goals, we must turn bold ideas into built infrastructure—without further delay. #EnergyDominance #GridSecurity #Infrastructure #JTIQ #MISO #SPP #EnergyPolicy #NationalSecurity https://lnkd.in/gDQm-XWW

At the recent SAFE summit Sir Mick Davis and SAFE Founder, President & CEO, Robbie Diamond discussed the need for governments and investors to support the development of the critical minerals industry – from mining to processing. Without the conviction to back the industry over the long term, the West will not secure core industries or ensure its competitiveness in a rapidly changing global environment. 🌍 The 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗥𝗘) 𝗔𝗰𝘁 is a critical step in countering the Chinese Communist Party’s dominance over global mineral supply chains and building a more secure, independent future for U.S. industry and innovation. We are grateful for the bipartisan leadership of 𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴, 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝘆𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿 for advancing this legislation. 🔹 By empowering the U.S. Geological Survey to map mineral resources globally, this bill paves the way for American companies to forge new partnerships and operate in regions where China has long been the only game in town. As SAFE’s Abigail Hunter put it: "It ensures we show up in resource-rich nations, rather than leaving them to deepen their ties with China." 🔗 Learn more about the work of 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘’𝘀 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆: https://lnkd.in/gaieqfVW #CriticalMinerals #NationalSecurity #USGS #SupplyChains #MineralSecurity #China #Geopolitics #USLeadership

𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 At SAFE's recent Summit, Circulor’s Douglas Johnson-Poensgen, Aimee Boulanger, Executive Director of IRMA Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance and our customer Jeff Werner, VP Corporate & Government Affairs of Panasonic North America, discussed the fundamentals of how traceability is building a ‘better’, more trusted battery supply chain and the challenges that remain in scaling best practices. Circulor and Panasonic, the largest battery maker in the world, shared how traceability accomplishes and proves responsible sourcing, sustainable production, and growing volumes of recycled content, essential to improving resource security in the realm of critical minerals. This is not only increasingly important for Panasonic but also for their customers to satisfy ever-evolving regulatory requirements, including tariffs.
