Winning at social media isn’t just about posting—it’s about engaging 💡 Managing a handful of social media platforms and figuring out which ones are giving you the most juice is one of the toughest challenges for brands. On top of that, you have to be sure you’re engaged with your following, versus simply posting and speaking into the void. This is where Scrollmark is making a difference. Akshay Madhani founded Scrollmark after spending a handful of years at Meta, working on products that helped develop community between creators and their fans. Scrollmark quickly understands what people are saying in your comments or DMs and is able to converse with them based on your company's FAQs and knowledge base. It also connects every sign-up and sale back to the person's first social interaction with your brand, so you can understand all your customers and send them timely offers and personalized product recommendations. Scrollmark has helped brands identify their loyal and consistent audience so they could send them rewards and special offers: merch, new or limited drops, you name it. Especially now, ads alone won’t cut it. Brands need direct relationships with their customers. #knowyouraudience #engagingyourcommunity Nikhil Sharma

  • Hell yes! This is what real social media marketing looks like. Fox Racing is cutting through the noise and using Scrollmark to find their actual superfans hidden among millions of followers. Social media was supposed to be about community and connection all along - Fox Racing is bringing it back to what matters. Thanks for showing everyone how it's done! 🙌

We found our top fans out of our 6M+ followers on social. 😵💫 Brand love isn’t built on algorithms, it’s built on connection. The human stuff. We know this by now.. (hopefully?) With the help of Scrollmark we found a way to identify and reward our biggest fans on social. How it works: 1️⃣ Points are automatically allocated to followers based on their engagements with our page. 2️⃣ This generates a list of our most engaged followers aka our ride or dies. 3️⃣ We use this list of top followers for surprise and delight moments. Free merch, signed jerseys, exclusives, etc. This is one way you can return the love to the followers who matter most. Because building real brand love matters more than posting just because it’s Thursday @ 10:36 AM. 👉 Shoot me a message if you want the direct link #socialmedia #community #brandlove

CEO, Scrollmark | Powering social community growth for the best eCom and Retail brands

I hate false dichotomies in marketing. But in 2025 the uncomfortable truth about e-commerce is that you're either in wartime or peacetime. There is no middle ground. Wartime e-commerce CMO: -ROAS-obsessed and defensive -Every dollar of ad spend scrutinized -Focused on customer retention and LTV -Leads from the data dashboard -Increased focus on quick-win campaigns -Tighter reporting (daily performance, hourly social monitoring) -Smaller tests with guaranteed returns -Full funnel visibility -Heavy focus on existing customers -Performance creative over brand building -Email/SMS over new channel experiments -Remarketing > cold acquisition Peacetime e-commerce CMO: -Growth-focused and offensive -Bigger brand-building budgets -Focused on new customer acquisition -Deeper investment in content/community -More creative experimentation -Bigger bets on emerging platforms -Room for viral moments -Testing new channels/formats -Brand creative over pure performance -Cold acquisition > remarketing One isn't better than the other. It's about whether your e-commerce brand needs immediate sales or long-term growth. But in 2025, many CMOs are shifting to wartime footing: -Every post needs to drive revenue -Every dollar needs to show a return -Every campaign needs to convert The days of "building a brand for the future" are on pause. It's time to drive sales or go home. P.S. Your CEO doesn't care about brand building when sales are down. They care about selling more stuff to more people right now.

In 2024, I spoke with over 50 Shopify brands doing $1-30M ARR. They’re all fed up with the rising CACs which ultimately broke major DTC players like Casper, SmileDirectClub, Winc, and Blue Apron. A decade ago, brands used to spend $9 acquiring each new customer. By 2022, they were spending $29. That's a 222% increase. And that's mostly because brands are still running their playbooks like they were doing in the last decade. They know those tactics, they've seen those tactics work. But how can you expect the same tactics to keep working? Traditional e-commerce has become unsustainable because the foundation that e-commerce was built on has completely shifted: -iOS 14.5 killed targeting precision -Third-party cookies are dying -Privacy laws are getting stricter -Email open rates dropped from 24% to 16.97% since 2015 -Ad costs keep climbing (up 60% in just 5 years) Even crazier? Some brands I talked to were finding it cheaper to mail PHYSICAL CATALOGS than run digital ads. In 2024. Let that absurdity sink in. Established brands are struggling but a new breed of brands is absolutely crushing it. Their new playbook is based on creating a community on IG, FB, TikTok, nurturing it, and converting members into customers. The brands that get this, like Cheekbone Beauty Cosmetics INC, Cozy Earth, Redwing Shoes, Fox Racing, are seeing amazing success. The data shows that 8 out of 10 customers use social to discover and research products. It’s THE channel for e-commerce brands to build direct relationships early on with their future customers and help them with their purchasing decisions. Building a community is tough but when was building business easy? There are tools, guides, and people you can hire. Just redirect a part of the cash you’ll set on fire to run “retargeting ads”. The math of traditional e-commerce is brooooken. Maybe that's exactly what we needed to finally start building something better.

We started 2024 as DropYacht. We ended it as Scrollmark, with 4 new team members. 2024 was the year everything clicked. We went from serving small brands to landing enterprise clients. Companies like Fox Racing, Sleep Country Canada, Baazi Games, and Cozy Earth joined us, validating our vision for next-gen community engagement and monetization on social. Our AI Community Management and Social Loyalty features became must-haves for brands like Stern Pinball, YogaSix, Schweid & Sons, and CrazyGames. We're building strong partnerships with industry leaders like Iterable (where our guest blog became their most-viewed piece this quarter!), ClubReady, LLC, and Attentive. But what makes me proudest? Our team. We're fully remote across two continents, yet we've built something special. Right before the holiday break, we had our virtual Secret Santa (pictured here!) and it was pure joy - nothing beats seeing this team come together, even from miles apart. Looking ahead to 2025, we're expanding our vision. Exciting announcements to come soon. Thank you to our customers, partners, and especially our team for making 2024 unforgettable. Here's to an even bigger 2025!

Meet Courtney, who's joining Scrollmark as our Partner Success Manager! Courtney was our most unlikely hire to date. When I saw Courtney's application, there wasn't a single mention of "customer success" in her background. However, her 100-word cover letter that broke every conventional rule. No mention of our company or regurgitation of her resume, and no ChatGPT - but she had clearly done her research on us, because she talked about exactly why her previous experience made her a good fit for Scrollmark. In our interviews, she directly challenged our product and go-to-market strategy. Not all of them aligned with our current direction, but that's exactly what we needed - someone who'd be a fierce advocate for our partners, pushing us to be better. Time to shake things up! Welcome aboard, Courtney🚀

Grateful to be featured in Anna's latest piece for Agorapulse about LinkedIn lead nurturing. The article breaks down why B2B companies struggle with long sales cycles and converting LinkedIn engagement. Sound familiar? Anna goes into every deet - from content strategy to outreach to paid campaigns. And the timing of the article couldn't be better. LinkedIn crossed 1B users in June of this year and includes 65M decision-makers and 10M C-level executives. For B2B, LinkedIn is THE channel. When your entire target audience lives on one platform, the playbook becomes simple: be there, add value, build relationships. I loved seeing how other B2B companies are using LinkedIn to drive real business outcomes. And hey - if you're reading this and want to learn more about LinkedIn lead nurturing, definitely check out the full article. Anna nailed it with actionable strategies any B2B company can use.
