One student from Palm Beach Central High School is a perfect example of why. Alex has overcome a physical disability and shined as a euphonium player. For his talent, determination, and perseverance, Alex was one of three winners of a prestigious Lisa Bruna B-Major Award from the Palm Beach Symphony. He received a custom-made euphonium designed specifically to meet his needs. Congratulations, Alex!

  • Fifth grade students at Village Academy recently participated in an "Invention Convention" where they were tasked with designing a toy that demonstrated multiple energy transformations. Throughout the unit, students learned about different types of energy, electrical circuits, and how energy can transform from one form to another. With this knowledge, students created toys that incorporated at least two energy transformations, showing their understanding of how energy is used in real-world applications. To present their ideas, students developed a detailed PowerPoint that not only explained their toy's design but also addressed key concepts from the unit, such as energy conservation and the types of energy involved.

  • Ms. Meghan Mooney says she feels so fortunate to be a teacher at Coral Sunset Elementary School that she'd still show up for work even if she won the lottery! Her students share the same excitement for having Ms. Mooney in the classroom that they nominated her for the Thank a Teacher award. For her enthusiasm, hard work, and positive spirit, Ms. Mooney is this week’s “Thank a Teacher” winner and receives a check for $350 from our business partner, HCA Florida Healthcare.
