HBI C-Flex 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 On February 25th, 2025, the HBI C-Flex project hosted a successful mid-term workshop. This event brought together experts and stakeholders to discuss innovative topics ranging from the reoxidation behaviour and stability of direct reduced and hot briquetted iron to the use of green hydrogen and recycled metallurgical gases in steelmaking. Additionally, projects about maximising H₂ enrichment in direct reduction shaft furnaces and ensuring the safe handling of H₂-based DRI, considering reactivity, passivation methods, and recycling aspects were discussed. The presentations generated interesting discussions and provided valuable insights into the potential applications and challenges of these developments. 🔹 16th Status Meeting 🔹 In February, we held our 16th status meeting with the project consortium and our supportive advisory board. This time, the meeting took place in a hybrid format, both online and in person at CRM in Liège. 💡The meeting started with a workshop, to which we welcomed three other projects - MaxH2DR project, Safe H-DRI Project, and RecHycle - to present their research. The presentations generated interesting discussions and provided valuable insights into their projects. The first day concluded with a lovely dinner in Liège, which provided a great opportunity for informal exchanges. The second day continued with updates on ongoing work packages and planned next steps.
