This tool provides a monthly snapshot of homelessness trends in Sacramento, including data on how individuals enter and exit our response system—information that can help inform partnerships, funding decisions, and prevention efforts to better support our community. Our society has a long history of systemic barriers and racial inequities, which has led to stark disparities. The 2024 Point-in-time Count in Sacramento County found that Black individuals are 3–4 times more likely to experience homelessness compared to their share of the residential population.
