More than 400 incredible projects from students across Hudson County were evaluated by over 200 expert judges, culminating in awards for over 100 talented participants! From cutting-edge research to creative problem-solving, their ideas exemplify the spirit of #STEM. Recently Newark Beth Israel Medical Center hosted its first ever Women in Cardiology "Breaking Barriers and Building Networks" offsite dinner event at La Griglia in Kenilworth. It was the first event of it’s kind designed to foster a supportive environment for women in the cardiac field, to discuss career pathways, and inspire mentorship opportunities. Impactful speakers included (l to r) Dr. Kimberly Skelding, (Cardiovascular Division Chief at Jersey City Medical Center) and Newark Beth Israel’s Dr. Yekaterina Kim (Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging) and Dr. Eman Rashed (Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant).
