Designing Better Communities. AIA Orlando 2016 'Firm of the Year'
About us
Designing Better Communities for over 29 years! Rhodes+Brito Architects, Inc. was established in 1996 by Ruffin Rhodes, AIA and Max Brito, AIA. The firm was founded on a desire to start an architectural practice that maintained an appropriate balance between design and management to provide a consistently high level of architecture to clients in the most responsible businesslike manner. The professionals at Rhodes+Brito believe that architecture is about more then just schedules, cost constraints, and value engineering — that it’s about people. It is about establishing great relationships with staff and users to fully understand their needs and goals. It is about creating spaces that successfully respond to the program to produce environments that are functional, humane, and pleasant for people to work and live in. The success of Rhodes+Brito is directly proportional to the quality of its service and design. Since the firm’s inception the company has been recognized as providing true “hands-on” service to clients. This includes maintaining principal-level involvement on all contracts. It is through this active model of participation and accessibility that the firm has become the highly respected architectural practice it is today. The Rhodes+Brito family is a mid-sized architectural firm made up of highly talented and creative individuals. The firm has expanded to a staff of approximately 30. The company is focused on providing clients a team who demonstrate talent in the art of listening and responding to efficiently to the needs of a given project so that all parties are profitable and satisfied. Over the years the firm has remained small but impressive so as to maintain the level of service and quality associated with the practice. The team maintains a balance of design and service as one of the primary daily objectives. Market segments: Government, Education, Transportation, Commercial, Federal

This past February, our Rhodes+Brito team put their lobbying hats on for 2025’s AIA Florida Legislative Day, an advocacy event designed to join architects, students, and associates with legislators from across Florida in order to advocate for community-focused building initiatives. We thank Edmond Baytan, Associate AIA and Dwinessa Pratt for representing Rhodes+Brito in their AIA Legislative Day presentation that lobbied for resilient building, affordable housing, and regulation reforms that will further serve our local community. Key initiatives for Legislative Day include: - Influence Policy: Speaking directly with lawmakers about critical bills that impact architecture, urban planning, and education. - Learn & Grow: Gain invaluable insights into the legislative process and how policies shape the built environment. - Network with Professionals: Connect with legislators, industry leaders, and fellow students passionate about making a difference. Our active participation in AIA Legislative Day demonstrates Rhodes+Brito’s commitment to architectural leadership and civic engagement in our community. #AIALegislativeDay #FloridaArchitects #LegislativeDay
