Strengthening relationships between business and municipalities to promote economic growth in Greater New Haven.

About us

REX is your resource to the amazing new things that are happening in the 15 towns. Created in 1996, REX was formed as the economic development entity for the fifteen towns served by the South Central Regional Council of Government (SCRCOG). Want help in expanding your business or relocating here? Need advice on finding a great job nearby? Want to connect with other professionals that share your passion? Ask REX. REX territory is a vibrant region of small cities, suburbs and rural communities situated between New York and Boston. The region is strategically located at the intersection of Interstates 91 and 95. Convenient rail connections via Amtrak, Metro-North and Shore Line East provide access from Boston to D.C. and all along the Connecticut shoreline. You can reach the entire eastern seaboard easily from the Canadian border in the north to the North Carolina border in the south—a 500-mile radius. For trips farther afield, the region offers quick access to Tweed New Haven Regional Airport, Bradley International Airport, La Guardia, JFK, Providence and White Plains.
